My Comic Book of Reflective Learning: GDSE 584, June 20 2022
For my final assistive technologies project, I chose to create a comic book using google slides. the Comic communicates my elections in GDSE 584 and puts a practical spin on my learning during my time in this course.

Boardmaker: Reflections & Optional Product
At first I thought that Boardmaker would be software appropriate only for the primary grades. It offers a user friendly interface and excellent graphics that represent a variety of genders and cultural backgrounds. I believe Boardmaker is actually used by our resource team at school, as I have often seen some of the matching templates used with our high incidence learners.
As I explored the program a little, however, I found that there are some great options for intermediate students as well. I really enjoyed the fact that many of the templates offered a text to speech option, particularly when creating short books and there is a section for math that provides an excellent multiplication table. Perhaps my favourite aspect of Boardmaker for my particular group of grade's though are the graphic organizer templates. I use graphic organizers with my students regularly and it would be wonderful to have both a digital and hard copy with a combination of words and images that I can provide my learners with.
Assignment #2: Read & Write for Chrome
Please find here my screencast tutorial for how I would use Read & Write with my grade 7 students. This is a great program and I very much wish our district would purchase a license for it. Thanks so much for viewing!
